Juneau-based Alison Marks opened her solo exhibition, One Gray Hair, at the Frye Art Museum on Nov. 10, showing a collection of works that blend contemporary images with traditional images from her Tlingit culture. Among them is this 8-foot air dancer-meets-totem pole, “Cultural Tourism,” which animates one of the Frye’s galleries through Feb. 4, 2018. Read Margo Vansynghel’s interview with Marks here.
