We’re pysched to be part of PRIDE this year! To join in the fun, we held a contest in which we invited kids, adults and professional artists to design wraps for a MINI Cooper F56s. The three winners—chosen from 70-plus entries—will have their work printed and custom-wrapped on MINIs that are driving in the parade on Sunday. Keep an eye out for them!
In the meantime, here’s a preview of what’s coming.
YOUTH WINNER (15 and under)
Sophie Serumgard, age 12
“We haven’t attended PRIDE before but were planning on it. This is going to top the experience.”
ADULT WINNER (16 and older)
Amy Ardhyaska, age 23
“I feel so honored to be one of the winners. It’s sch an amazing experience and I’m proud of this achievement. A MINI wrapped in my design will surely be an unforgettable moment in my life.”
Christopher Buening, age 41, www.chrisbuening.com
“I wrapped the MINI in a rainbow/crystalline design to represent that gay Pride celebrates the whole spectrum of human sexuality… the light of the community, shone through a crystal or prism breaks down into every conceivable color of sexual persuasion, lifestyle choice and way of being: gay, straight, drag, trans, bi, leather/SM, rubber, lesbian, asexual, omnisexual, whatever! It is a celebration of whoever you are and however you love.” The image above shows a close-up on part of Buening’s design.
