If you’re an old Millennial and you prefer your television shows nostalgia-soaked, mark your calendars for Feb. 16 when Netflix series Everything Sucks! splatters your school days all over your TV. “We think this is a great time to take a look back at high school and relive the fashion, music, and attitudes of the mid-’90s the way we remember it,” creators Ben York Jones and Michael Mohan said in a statement. “Not sensationalized, not watered-down; but desperate, heartfelt, awkward and exciting.”

Set in Boring, Ore., (real place!) in 1996, Everything Sucks! follows two crews of outsiders, the A/V club and the drama club, “who join forces to make a movie and endure the purgatory known as high school.” The teen-centric half-hour dramedy features 2018 City Arts Future Lister Claudine Mboligikpelani Nako.
