Kristina Dillard’s Literary Movement

Text by Tom Robbins—about a woman who describes colors while in the throes of creative process—blends with Kristina Dillard’s choreography as dancer Tesee George’s body “becomes the paint and the painting” in “Diebenkorn,” one of three works-in-progress in Dillard’s The Literary Dances, presented March 24 and 25 at The Grocery on Beacon Hill. At this presentation, Dillard’s fusion of spoken word and movement was layered on top of video projection by Janet Galore, adding yet another dimension to the painterly works.
