What she’s wearing: Her grandmother’s vintage coat, black lace Spanx tights, Hobo clutch and suede flat boots from Galore in Portland.

Describe your personal style in three words. Feminine with edge.

What is your daily uniform? Well-worn denim, girly tees or blouses, a hoodie, boots with an added hair accessory, oversized sunglasses and a bag for a pop of color.

What are your favorite local places to shop? Luxurious boutiques like Les Amis, Burnt Sugar and Essenza in Fremont; the heartbreakingly sweet indie design haven of Velouria in Ballard; and for quality vintage, Pretty Parlor and Red Light are fantastic.

Who are your style icons? Modern day: I so admire Marc Jacobs’ designs. His use of heavenly fabrics and unexpected color combinations never ceases to be anything but stunning. From the past: I admire the simple, striking elegance of Givenchy’s style, worn perfectly by the darling Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, as well as Oleg Cassini’s pieces that defined the image of Jackie O.
What do you value most in your wardrobe right now? My secondhand brown riding boots, especially as the chill of fall is in the air.

If you could splurge on one item right now, what would it be? A large, tailored, yet stand-out leather bag — a quality piece I could pass on to my daughter someday.

What golden rules about style did you inherit from your family? Time spent with my grandmother gave me my first glimpse into glamour. Her golden rules were to always buy the best quality you can afford and not to be afraid to splurge on investment pieces like a lovely coat.
Who works in your style “pit crew”?  My go-to style visionary for hair and makeup is artist Tiffany Lowry at Red X salon. She is gifted with a dreamy aesthetic paired with a wealth of experience and creativity.
What inspires you? My loving and incredibly gifted artistic friends; travels to New York and abroad; most period fashion, especially old Hollywood glamour; and the haunting, overwhelming beauty, brilliance, texture and color in nature.
