A wise man once described alcohol as “the cause of and solution to all of life’s problems.” Whether or not the members of Kinski appreciate the genius of Homer Simpson, they’re known to enjoy an adult beverege or two, and the video for “Drink Up and Be Somebody” plays like a mini documentary of the rock n’ roll lifestyle.
Director Mike Wurn stars in the video and was lead puppeteer (puppets are a music-vid staple these days), alongside artists Pete Brand, Kate Leaver and Tom DesLongchamp. Taken from Kinski’s new album 7 (Or 8), released earlier this month on Kill Rock Stars, “Drink Up and Be Somebody” is as quick and vicious as shot of well whisky.
