Kary Wayson
Kary Wayson was born in Hanover, N.H., and grew up in Portland, Ore. Her first book, American Husband, was published in 2009. Her poems have been published widely, including in The Best American Poetry 2007, and the 2010 Pushcart Prize anthology. A 2012 The Stranger “Genius Award” nominee, Kary works as a waitress and a poetry teacher in Seattle.
