On Friday, Sept. 8 some 400 people flooded Dozer’s Warehouse—an abandoned commercial building and storefront in North Beacon Hill—to celebrate 103 murals created by 73 Northwest artists. Spearheaded by Beacon Arts, the project is the centerpiece of a temporary takeover of the 6,000-square foot building, which is slated for demolition in December. Since May, Dozer’s has served as a playground for artists and a hub for pop-up community events, hosting a range of open mic nights, live music, dance performance and art classes open to the public. Shown here, organizers prepare for the big event.
