Whether fat, drug-addicted, fresh out of the Army, or just plain sexy – last weekend brought 24 of Seattle’s finest Elvis impersonators together at EMP for the 16th consecutive year. Men and women (Girlvises or Elvettes) alike brought their best interpretation of one of the King’s many personas from his years on stage. El Vez, the Mexican Elvis (probably not one of Elvis’ original personas) was on hand to emcee the event. Judges for the evening included Seattle music journalist Charles Cross and Cafe Racer owner Kurt Geissel. Talent, pure style, and hilarity ensued.
