Prairie Nocturne
Prairie Nocturne sings of the interlocking histories and destinies of Susan, a songstress-turned-voice teacher, her long lost ex-lover and his musically gifted, black chauffeur. Book-It’s production of Northwest writer Ivan Doig’s novel is a melancholy blend of historical and personal drama that weaves through time, stretching from the plains of Montana to New York’s Harlem Renaissance as the three characters navigate the shared landscapes of music, love and racial discord.
