“This is a projection of my liquid lights onto a silk screen and the cacti below. I used two analog overhead projectors with layers of clock glass, mineral oil, isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, candle dyes and watercolors. Usually, I perform at local music venues, projecting the lights onto a stage wall while bands play. I love how it’s live art that evolves with the music.”

—Brandon Eller, aka Liquid Light Wizard, one of the artists who participated in light-art showcase Iluna Flora at the Volunteer Park Conservatory on Oct. 29. The event was a fundraiser for Friends of the Conservatory, who copresented the event with light installation organization Lusio.
