Around Town

Kids grabbed horns at the Northwest Sinfonietta’s Instrument Petting Zoo at the opening of Tacoma Art Museum’s exhibit The Secret Lives of Animals.

REALLY? "FREE BIRD"?
Trevor Davis sang his tonsils out to raise cash for Haiti relief at Cutters Point Coffee. When somebody yelled to request “Free Bird,” he replied, “I wasn’t homeschooled or anything, but growing up I never heard ‘Free Bird.’”

FLEET FEET
D.A.S.H. stands for Dancing, Acting and Singing in Harmony, and that’s what Reality Check did at D.A.S.H. Center’s February bash, KRUNK 5: The Reunion.

TACOMA DIALS DRUNK FOR ART
Artist Kristen Ramirez inscribed actual inebriated commentary (such as her sister’s text messages, right) on booze bottles for her February show at the Telephone Room – and there was a full baottle of Jim Beam by a phone hooked to a recorder in the gallery, so aesthetes could add to the drunk-dialing dialogue.
