Officials Vintage offers up something new in sportswear by looking to the past.
Rio Estolas is on the hunt for what he calls “the grail of vintage.” He scours markets across the nation for rare deadstock and gently used sportswear from the ’80s and early ’90s and brings it to trend-conscious sports fans through his new shop, Officials Vintage. The impeccably curated collection of Seattle team apparel would make any local sports fans giddy. With a busy soft launch in September, a champagne-soaked grand opening bash in early October and referrals from high-profile customers, Estolas has watched vintage Sonics warm-up jackets and early-’90s corduroy Mariners snapback hats turn over at a steady pace.
