About a dozen classically trained opera singers gathered at the Blue Moon on April 8 for an annual tradition now eight years running, pitting golden-throated vocalists against the general hubbub at of one of Seattle’s most venerable watering holes. Though the music was serious, the singers didn’t take themselves too seriously, introducing each performance with pithy synopses and carousing heartily in-between—an appropriately strange way to celebrate the Blue Moon’s 80th anniversary.
