Behind the Scenes: Black Whales Make a Music Video

Local filmmaker Bobby McHugh recently directed a music video for Seattle band, Black Whales, whose latest album, Shangri La Indeed, was released earlier this month. Backed by a nearly nonexistent budget and plenty of friends eager to help with the production, McHugh and company set up in an old building in SODO to shoot the video for "Elephant" in just two (very long) days. Low budget and faulty special effects be damned; the crew pooled their resources and donated time to make the shoot go as smoothly as possible.
