Best Of Art Walk Awards Tonight at Caffe Vita

The guest judges for the fourth installment of the Best of Art Walk Awards are Ken Kelly and Alfred Harris.

How it works: artist host Joey Veltkamp and his guest judges see as many First Thursday openings as they can to decide who is hanging the most excellent work tonight. Then they meet, confer, decide on three finalists and present the artists' work via projector at Caffe Vita. As guests enjoy refreshments and conversation, the judges offer some explanation behind their choices, and then the crowd votes (by dropping tokens into a box) on the winner.

After the winner is announced, one artist goes home with $500 in their back pocket, to do with as they please.

Also fun: drawing contest, Blue Moon beer in cans(!), music and delicious pizza for sale at Caffe Vita.

Stop by between 8:00pm and 9:00pm to cast your vote.
