Super 8 Brothers Take On Skykomish River
Greg: Hey Chris, I feel like it's been a reel long time since we've had one of our little chats. What have you been up to?
Chris: It has been a while, Greg. And to answer your question, I've been out on the rivers.
Greg: I beg your pardon?
Chris: I recently had the chance to film a friend of mine attacking the Skykomish River (affectionately known as "Sky") whitewater in his kayak, which by the way, is both a boat and a palindrome. How 'bout that, eh?
Greg: Go on already...
Chris: Sorry. So, I rushed out of the house, sandwich in hand, and drove about an hour to the "put-in" spot. Being a sunny Saturday in February, there were a ton of boaters on the river. I got some great footage of them running a rapid called Boulder Drop. The Sky is great for filmmakers and photographers because you can head up Highway 2, pull over in a bunch of different places, and take some great shots. This film is put to some music by Al Coyotes, a band brought you courtesy of Jon Shelby, the lead guitarist and kayaker on the thumbnail image below.
Greg: Let's check it out...
