BenDeLaCreme Welcomes ‘Capitol Hill’ to the Web

Waxie Moon stars in this campy web series from 'Fallen Jewel' director Wes Hurley.

It’s here! Wes Hurley’s Capitol Hill web series, which we previewed in the March issue of City Arts, has released its first episode online. Inspired by the television of ’70s and ’80s (Dallas, Dynasty) Hurley set out to create a world of campy comedy all his own, starring an ever-growing list of fantastic local performers. In this first episode, our ingénue Roses Smell escapes her backwater hellhole of a hometown, Portland, to live the glamorous life in Seattle. Icing on the cake: Local drag darling BenDeLaCreme, fresh off her win on the first episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6, introduces the show.
